I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I am one of 4 children in my family. Our parents worked very hard to give us a good life. Our parents taught us the value of life and hard work. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps when I graduated high school. After my training, I volunteered to go to Vietnam. I felt it was my responsibility and duty as an American citizen to stand up for my country. I was wounded twice in Vietnam and hospitalized for about four months. Upon my discharge from the hospital, I could no longer complete my tour of duty as a United States Marine because of my wounds, so the United States Marine Corps retired me. After I recovered, I went to work for Citibank as a clerk in the operations department. I spent 12 years at Citibank and left as a Vice President in the fixed income department. In the early 2000’s I had an opportunity to go to China. That’s where I opened up my education center, teaching about business and finance and then helping students go to America to study. I’m very proud of my 14 years in China. I gained a lot of knowledge about

their culture and way of life. I am grateful to have many good friends and students with whom I still keep in touch today. When I returned to America in July 2015, I realized that the Asian community was unaware of things happening in our city and our state, so I founded Asian Pacific Community Awareness. APCA keeps the Asian community informed about social events, civic events, and new legislation. We also provide them with information about healthcare jobs, veterans benefits, etc. God Bless the USA!
DIRECTORS & OFFICERS
We are pleased to announce the creation of a new community group called Asian Pacific Community Awareness (APCA). We are immensely proud to serve the Asian Pacific Community. Our group is tailored for all Nevada Asians and Pacific Islanders. APCA's mission is to increase local, civil, and social awareness of interest to the Asian Pacific communities, to bring together all Asians Pacific communities to discuss, learn, and work together on their community needs and interests. The objective is to make the Asian Pacific Community aware of emerging current, civil, and social issues, build a strong alliance and encourage discussions on what is essential to the community. Asian Pacific Community Awareness provides a valuable framework for increasing a positive community experience that serves the Asian Pacific population in Nevada. APCA is the beginning stage of building a social media platform to distribute notices of state legislation (both pending and proposed) on such issues as taxes, education, healthcare, etc. APCA has established a social media chat group to exchange information by allowing chat group members to send post-APCA mission-related messages, videos, or photos. We are working with the Asian Pacific community by offering citizenship classes. We keep the community informed of immigration, and other subjects to aid the Asian Pacific Community in finding ways of addressing continuing challenges whether in academia, business, industry, or government. The current key issues we are now focusing our:
